Under 13s
Since last month’s article the weather has played its part in slowing down the season with postponements, the Under 13`s only managing to play three matches.
· We travelled to Newton Aycliffe Youth on the 1st March. The opposition used the offside trap very well but eventually Saltburn were victorious, winning 5-0,with goals from Ben Jacques ( 2 ), Sam Kielly, Andy Turton and Jacob Waller.
· A week later we played host to Mount Pleasant Rangers. With 10 minutes to go the score was level at 2-2, but the lads fitness finally told and we won 4-2 in the end with goals from Andy Turton ( 2 ), Robert Ellison and Jacob Waller.
· Our unbeaten League run of 9 games finally ended with the visit of Broughton Hibs. An under par performance saw us 0-3 down with time running out. We finally woke up and scored with two late goals from Andy Turton and Robert Ellison but it wasn`t enough. The final score being 2-3.
With five matches left to play we are
still top of Division 6 with 33 points. Let’s hope we stay there.
