Term by definition
A game played on a rectangular field with net goals at either end in which two teams of 11 players each try to drive a ball into the other's goal by kicking, heading, or using any part of the body except the arms and hands. The goalie is the only player who may touch or move the ball with the arms or hands.

| 9/9/2007 | Saltburn AFC v Thirsk | The U14’s started the season with a good win v Thirsk Falcons at home. Winning 1-0 and dominating in the first half things took a turn for the worst in the second half, surrendering their lead and trailing 2-1 within five minutes of the re-start. For ten minutes or so the team showed some signs of tension creeping in and a little dissarray before settling and starting to play the football they are capable of. Once the equaliser went in, Saltburn dominated playing some flowing , passing football and scored a further two to take the three points. |
| 23/9/2007 | South Park Rangers v Saltburn AFC | Against old rivals South Park Rangers Saltburn got off to a flying start with a great individual goal from Craig Hadden followed by a second from Thomas Boyes to take an early 2-0 lead. Some poor defending and ability to keep hold of the ball allowed South Park back into the game and the sides went in at half time 2-2. South Park dominated the opening stages of the second half and took a deserved 3-2 lead but Saltburn fought back to share the spoils with an equaliser from Tyler Johnson in a hard fought game. |
| 30/9/2007 | Leven v Saltburn AFC | Away to Leven the wheels came off a bit and despite a good effort from Saltburn the team went down 3-0. |
| 7/10/2007 | Saltburn AFC v Brinkburn | In the league cup v Brinkburn at home Saltburn put in an excellant performance and led for much of the game with a goal from Jonathan Oliver. With less than ten minutes to go and after dominating for much of the game two late goals from Brinkburn took them through to the next round and left Saltburn players and fans alike dejected. |
| 14/10/2007 | Saltburn AFC v Whinney Banks | The latest game at home v Whinney Banks saw Saltburn play some attractive football and Dominate throughout. A first half hatrick from the busy Jamie Forrest put the team in the driving seat. After leading 5-0 a lapse in concentration saw the opposition pull two back but composure was regained with further goals from Tom Kerr-Morgan and Jonathan Oliver to cement an 8-3 victory. |
